MONDAY!!!!! WAHOOOO

James 1:26-27

26If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. 27Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Ben's Comments:

-James is one of those guys who doesn't beat around the bush.. he says what needs to be said.
- Verse 26 - pretty strong words!
- Very good way to put it - "polluted by the world"

Tell me what you think:

1. What would you have to do to "keep a tight rein on your tongue?" What does this mean?
2. Do you know any widow or orphans?
3. Do you think there are people in your school that are similar to the "widows and orphans"
4. What do you think James means when he says being polluted by the world?

Let me hear your thoughts!
