James 1:13-15
13When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Ben's Thoughts:
- Verse 13 he says when tempted - he doesn't say if tempted... He is saying you WILL be tempted.
- God does not tempt us.. a lot of times we may think that he does...
- We tempt ourselves - by our own "evil desire"
- We have an evil desire which if acted on leads to sin which leads to death.
Your Thoughts:
1. How often do you think you are tempted?
2. Why are you tempted?
3. What is the difference between God tempting us and God testing our faith?
4. If you are tempted to do something wrong - is that sin?
Let me know what you think!
ACCESS in 1 day 4 hours and 3 minutes
1 im tempted not a whole lot but i am tempted quite a bit
ReplyDelete2 since satin is trying to pull you away from god
3god does not tempt us: nor he ever will, whle god tests our faith like how often do you pray...
4no, since if you are tempted, you did not do that action BUT most likely when your tempted to do something wrong, like cuss, it's hard to resist and you will sin.

ReplyDeleteGood work Man!
1. Yeah I think that we are all tempted different amounts, with different things, and more at some times than others.. It is what we do when we are tempted that matters.
2. Yeah that is for sure part of it. Some tempations come from Satan - some just come from sinful desire..
3. That is very true - God hates sin - he would never tempt us - but you are right he does test our faith.. There is a huge difference - very good
4. That is great! Yeah, even Jesus was tempted.. He lived a perfect life - So that means being tempted is not a sin - but acting on it is.
Good work man! See you tonight!
